About TL

Hi there! 😎

Tiger Ladybug began back in the spring of 2020 as a distraction from the pandemic. My and my daughter's lives were uprooted during that unprecedented time, so to distract myself from the world and our situation, I needed a friggin' hobby.

I always liked making jewelry throughout my life, so I decided to start making necklaces. I would listen to YouTube videos while creating, which of course then led to me falling down the rabbit hole that is YouTube and found many amazing and inspiring women-owned craft business and boutique channels. So, naturally, inspiration struck. I switched gears and decided to research how to make my little distraction into a business.

I spent pretty much my free time all that summer researching, watching videos, checking out Instagram pages, and jotting down basically a rudimentary business plan. (SO much note-taking!) I also figured out to call my new venture Tiger Ladybug after my lifelong love of tigers, and after my daughter, who has been my lucky ladybug since the moment I discovered I was to be blessed with her soul. I just had to get a few things taken care of to make my idea a legitimate business, and we'd be all set.

But then...I just fizzled out.

I just felt it wasn't worth pursuing. I had a lot going on in my life, too, so that made it difficult to find the motivation to keep going with the business idea. I just didn't have enough confidence in myself to overcome my obstacles then. Over the next 2-3 years, the Tiger Ladybug idea came and went numerous times, but I never got it off the ground; and I can't pinpoint exactly why, other than it just wasn't the time.

It was in 2024 that I brought the idea back up. I got back to my researching and business planning and stumbled upon new YouTube videos of small business owners that inspired me to keep going. I also changed my product ideas to create designs to make products out of after I bought myself an iPad, an Apple Pencil, and Procreate for my birthday. All this new planning and creating took like 7 months. By October, I finally solidified my plans, got my initial products and supplies all figured out and ready, ordered my manufactured samples, got the business registered with the state and county, started this website, and pushed forward. Tigerladybug.com opened on December 11, 2024.

Currently, Tiger Ladybug provides handmade and manufactured products of digital designs I created. I’m starting small and hope to grow this project to include a broad variety of both created and sourced products. My mission is to bring a little joy and fun in this chaotic, stupid world.

Yes! I do have social media, but just on YouTube and Instagram. My handles for both are @_tigerladybug_. A follow is support! (And I like to feature the shenanigans of my boys, Jacob and Raphael. 😻)

So, thanks for stopping by and supporting this little adventure of mine. Sorry if this About Me seems a little long, but it took me forever to get here. 😉
